A man is under police surveillance after allegedly causing a disturbance at a western Sydney hospital and injuring four staff members.
Police were called to Westmead Hospital at around 11.30pm on Friday night after reports that a man, 39, had assaulted staff.
When officers arrived, they found two security guards, ages 24 and 25, with stab wounds, a third security guard with a dislocated shoulder, and a nurse, 29, who suffered minor injuries.

All four are understood to be recovering.
It is understood that the alleged attacker was a patient at the hospital.
He remains in Westmead under police guard.
