A Washington Commanders fan went viral after falling from several rows of seats

Not everyone associated with the Washington Commanders won on Sunday.

The team continued its winning streak in the NFL with a 27-22 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday, bringing its season record to 7-2 for the first time since 1996.

But for one fan who made the trip to see the team in action, it was a day to forget. Not that I can do it anytime soon.

The Commanders fan has gone viral on social media for falling out of several rows of seats seconds after yelling at some Giants fans to ‘Shut the fuck up.’

The fan seemed fine after his fall – not much more than his ego should have been bruised in the morning – but it could easily have been worse.

The Washington fan, who may have been drinking during the game, appeared to lose his balance when he turned around after his outburst.

He fell forward, rolling across several rows of seats, crashing into his fellow spectators along the way, before being stopped by the metal railing at the end of the stands.

He didn’t miss a beat, appearing to raise his hands as if to suggest his trip was no big deal, before a security officer approached to check on him.

The fan was wearing an Art Monk jersey: Monk is considered one of the best wide receivers in NFL history.

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was in control throughout, finishing 15 of 22 for 209 yards. He iced the game with a 42-yard pass to Olamide Zaccheaus after New York got within five.

“I’m just happy for the fan base,” said Daniels, who added that his focus remains one game and one week at a time. “You can be very proud of the product we are putting into the field.”

Next week, the Commanders will host the Pittsburgh Steelers.
