The View’s Sunny Hostin has admitted that she hides her purchases from her husband of 25 years because she doesn’t like “being judged” by him, especially when it comes to buying new pairs of shoes.
When Whoopi Goldberg asked the panel if there’s anything they “avoid doing” when their husbands are home, Sunny, 55, who has an estimated net worth of $3 million, was quick to confess.
‘Yeah! “I don’t need Manny to judge me on my purchases,” he admitted, as Whoopi, 68, responded, “So you sneak by and then you’re like, ‘Oh, this has been here the whole time, I don’t know where you are.'” ‘has been.”‘
‘I do that!’ —Sunny admitted. ‘He says, “Is that new?” I say no! “I do that, I also take shoes out of boxes, put them in my bag and carry them upstairs,” she added as Joy Behar reminded her, “It’s your money, Sunny!”
But Sunny replied, “What I don’t like is the trial, it’s the trial.” I don’t like being judged, I don’t enjoy it,” as Whoopi joked, “You don’t know it’s their money!”

Joy, 81, then argued: “The secret to all this is having two bedrooms, if you can afford it… because you don’t have to trick each other by doing things in secret.”
‘It’s not cheating!’ Sunny exclaimed, as Joy said of her own marriage to Steve Janowitz, “He’s watching football in one room, I’m watching a Bette Davis movie in the other room.”
The debate arose when the panel, including Alyssa Farah Griffin, discussed Vick Hope’s recent comments in which she admitted to waiting for her husband Calvin Harris to leave the house before listening to Taylor Swift’s music.
His admission came as a huge shock to fans because Calvin, 40, and singer Taylor, 34 years old, dated 15 months between 2015 and 2016.
Returning to the subject of Calvin and Taylor, Alyssa, 34, told the panel: “The only thing that’s interesting to me about this is that they had a really bad breakup. “That was a serious relationship and a serious breakup.
‘Songs were written and it was difficult. Unlike… we had Taylor Lautner on the show, who also briefly dated Taylor a million years ago and they’re friends and his wife is a big fan, so that makes sense to me.
‘But if you were in a serious relationship with my husband, I wouldn’t listen to your music, I wouldn’t buy your product, no chance!’ Alyssa added.
Sunny agreed with her as Alyssa continued, ‘I mean, if she cured cancer maybe, but not music!’
‘Wow, you’re tough!’ she said joyfully. ‘I don’t mind! If I like Taylor Swift, I’m going to listen to Taylor Swift, I don’t care if she ruined my husband,” as Whoopi jokingly added, “As long as she doesn’t ruin him today!”
The panel discussed Vick Hope’s recent comments about listening to Taylor Swift when her husband Calvin Harris is not home.
Taylor, pictured in March 2023, used to date DJ Calvin, but that hasn’t stopped Vick from continuing to enjoy his music.

Sunny is no stranger to talking about her marriage on The View and in February, Whoopi called her a ‘bitch’ when she openly criticized her husband’s cooking on live air.
Whoopi told the mother-of-two “you should stop” before warning her she would end up “alone” if her 25-year-old husband tuned in to the episode and watched her criticize his “disgusting” home-cooked dinners.
The conversation began when Whoopi revealed that a recent article claimed that many couples “can’t stand what their partner does in the kitchen” and asked her married co-hosts if that was a problem for them.
Sunny was quick to talk about her husband Emmanuel, whom she married in 1998, revealing: “I love the mastery of cooking. I cook every night, as most of you know. I enjoy it, I like eating my own food , all.’
‘I like Manny to do things outdoors. ‘Poop patrol our 150-pound dogs, fix the cars, take out the trash?’ he continued as Whoopi stepped in and asked, ‘So you don’t want me to touch the food?’
‘No!’ Sunny shouted, before adding: ‘Because he doesn’t cook that well. He has a plate…’ while Whoopi advised him to speak directly to the camera to let him know that he ‘sucks as a cook.’
Following Whoopi’s orders, the curly-haired star looked into the camera and announced, “Manny, you have a dish and I don’t like that dish,” as the rest of the panel asked him to describe it.
‘He makes this weird quinoa, chickpea and avocado thing. There’s no name…’ she said as Whoopi intervened and shouted, ‘Damn, you’ll be alone today!’ You must stop!’ while the rest of the presenters burst out laughing.
