Vanessa Feltz revealed she jumped out of a moving taxi after discovering her ex-fiancé Ben Ofoedu was cheating on her.
The presenter, 62, split from singer Ben, 51, in February last year after 16 years together when she discovered he had been unfaithful.
Now, Vanessa has recalled the moment she confessed the devastating news to him, while the former couple was in a taxi on the way to a party in Waterloo.
She confronted him in the car after a family dinner, where the presenter’s daughters, Saskia and Allegra, told their mother that an online troll had tipped them off that Ben was cheating on them.

“I couldn’t take another second. I couldn’t take it. I opened the door of the moving taxi and jumped out.
‘My coat was torn. Blood flowed from a cut on my arm. I figured he would stop the taxi and follow me to see if I had survived the jump. He didn’t do it.
Instead, he allegedly mistakenly sent her a series of text messages intended for the other woman and then posted snaps of himself partying online.
Elsewhere in the interview, Vanessa admitted this was the last time she saw Ben, who has now moved on with his girlfriend Precious Muir, 33.
The musician’s romance with reality star Precious was confirmed in December and earlier this year he was heard introducing her as “my future wife” at an event.
In August, Vanessa admitted she’s finding it difficult to navigate the “crushing loneliness” of being single following her split from Ben.
The star has been single since the breakup, but has gone on many dates, most of which appear to have been unsuccessful.

She wrote: “I’ve been very lucky to spend a holiday in Spain with my grandchildren, but returning to an empty house feels heartbreaking after days of fun and laughter.
I am a reluctant bachelor. I try to muster up some courage, but I don’t like it. I have found it difficult to overcome the contrast between the 24/7 togetherness of a family and the crushing loneliness. My heart goes out to all those who are in the same boat.”
During a recent appearance at Suddenly unique podcastVanessa said she’s been on some “demoralizing” dates lately.
She said: “When you’re on a horrible date, where there’s nothing, it’s not fun, they look at you and you look at them and when you go home and you walk in the door, it’s really hard… it’s hard not to feel a little diminished.
‘You don’t feel attractive, you don’t feel like what you said was funny. You don’t feel loved.’
Vanessa, who said her most recent date was “terrible,” has no desire to try the world of online dating.
She said: “I’ve never stolen in my life – I think it would end up in the papers in about two or three seconds.”

She said of the experience: ‘It was very difficult, but I remained hopeful, moderately hopeful… if you had told me, do you, with your hand on the Bible Vanessa, do you think they are going to find your Prince?’ Lovely, I probably would have said no.’
The presenter reportedly found a series of social media messages and emails from Ben to other women last year.
Addressing her Instagram followers earlier this year, she wrote: “You know, I’ve said dozens of times that I don’t like being alone and that I don’t like being single.”
‘I haven’t stayed a single night since January 2023, not a single night. I have gone out every day because I don’t feel good being alone at home. I haven’t felt relaxed enough to do it.’
‘Well guess what, tonight’s the night, oh yeah! I’m going to prepare dinner, I’m going to eat it.’
“I’ll take a lovely hot bubble bath and then watch the flickering TV and enjoy it.”
‘That’s progress. It has taken me a long time to get here, a long time. There have been more than 390 nights of partying in total or something ridiculous.
“However, tonight is the first exception and that must mean I’m a lot calmer, so thank God for that.”
‘Everyone has been so kind and supportive of me over the last year. I really can’t thank you enough – it means a lot, it really has.’
“So TV, dinner, a bath… and you know what? It seems like a pretty good prospect to me,” he concluded the clip, before saying goodbye with “a lot of love.”
