Valerie Bertinelli has split from her boyfriend Mike Goodnough.

The couple met on Instagram and at first it was strictly platonic, but then became close in January 2024 because it “felt familiar” and there was a “comfort level.”
They went Instagram official in April 2024 and arrived on their first red carpet together two months later.
The actress told People in July that being a long-distance couple was “a challenge.”

When she first went public with the romance, she explained the attraction.
‘His voice had the most beautiful timbre. I was like, ‘Oh, I can’t talk to this guy right now because he’s so sexy,'” she said.
“We both had strong feelings and tried not to admit them,” he added.
They were made public in April.
‘I am Valerie Bertinelli’s boyfriend… and this may well be one of the most surreal phrases I have ever uttered.
‘But it’s true… and nothing about our current relationship seems surreal. It just seems…well…lucky…a gift,” he wrote on his Substack called Hoarse Whisperings.
They were red carpet official in June at the Daytime Emmys.
Goodnough addressed the new romance on her Substack, teasing the announcement via her X account.
Bertinelli opened up about their romance in an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in April.
‘He wasn’t supposed to come into my life and here he is. “He’s 10 years younger,” the Hot in Cleveland star said without naming him.
“You’d like to think he’s complicated and brooding, but he’s thoughtful, kind and ridiculously talented,” Bertinelli said.
‘He is an incredible writer. It’s beautiful, very sexy. He does it for me. “We all have our type, like it’s just attractive,” he gushed.
He now has a permanent job on Drew’s show.
Bertinelli was married to the late Eddie Van Halen from 1981 to 2007; she passed away in 2020. She was then married to businessman Tom Vitale from 2011 to 2022.
Her last Instagram post was on Sunday when she revealed she was voting for Kamala Harris.
“Your vote is your power,” Valerie’s caption began.
