Donald Trump said Charleroi, Pennsylvania, is the latest city to be hit by a massive surge of Haitians after the nation turned its attention to Springfield, Ohio, amid claims the migrants were eating residents' pets.

Donald Trump said the latest city affected by a surge in illegal immigration is Charleroi, Pennsylvania.

During a rally in the key state on Monday, the former president heard members of his caucus there say his hometown has become “disgusting.”

Speaking at Ed Fry Arena on the campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, just 60 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, Trump criticized the effect illegal immigration has on small American communities.

Trump says the population of Haitian immigrants living in the western Pennsylvania city has grown by 2,000 percent.

The situation has become so dire, according to reports earlier this year, that the Charleroi school district has spent $400,000 on teachers and interpreters for English language learners.

According to the 2020 census, the town has just over 4,000 residents, making this influx of immigrants living there truly overwhelming for the small community.

The latest comes after the Ohio city of Springfield was thrust into the national spotlight after Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, highlighted claims that Haitian immigrants were stealing and eating residents’ pet cats and ducks in parks.

On Monday, at his rally in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Trump asked thousands of people who was from Charleroi.

“Is it different?” he asked his cheering fans.

“Yes!” the women shouted from the stands, adding: “It’s disgusting.”

The former president spoke just an hour after he was shot during a rally in Butler on July 13.

A rally attendee who identified herself only as Jen told DailyMail.com that the fact that Trump survived two assassination attempts is proof that God wants him to be president again.

Before Monday night’s rally, Trump attended a meeting with farmers in Smithton, Pennsylvania, where he promised to cut energy bills.

“I love farmers,” Trump said at the event 30 miles (50 kilometers) south of Pittsburgh. “I feel very comfortable with them.”

“I have always won with farmers and that is because I produce,” he added. “Promises made, promises kept. In 12 months, their energy bill will be cut in half.”

Meanwhile, the former president’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, spent Monday afternoon and evening rallying supporters in North Carolina, another key swing state in Pennsylvania.

The state’s gubernatorial race has been thrown into chaos following a report last week that alleged the Republican Party candidate to lead the state House made lewd, inappropriate and disturbing comments on the pornographic forum Nude Africa.

Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson allegedly claimed on the site to be a “black Nazi” and a “pervert,” among other questionable comments, according to an explosive CNN report that the candidate vehemently denies.
