- Former President Donald Trump will be able to attend Barron’s graduation
- Judge Juan Merchán made the call on Tuesday
- Trump previously complained that he may not be able to attend the May 17 event.
Former President Donald Trump received the green light Tuesday from the judge presiding over Stormy Daniels’ hush money trial to attend her son Barron’s high school graduation next month.
The former president complained on the first day of the trial that Judge Juan Merchán could prevent him from seeing Barrón, 18, receive his diploma.
A furious Trump said: “It looks like the judge won’t let me go to the graduation of my son, who has worked very, very hard.”
“He’s a great student and he’s very proud of the fact that he did so well and he’s been waiting for years to graduate with his mom and dad there, and it looks like the judge isn’t going to let me escape this scam.” “It’s a rigged trial,” Trump said earlier this month.
However, on Tuesday Merchan said: “I don’t think the May 17 date is a problem.” Mr. Trump can attend that date, attend his son’s graduation.

It came as Trump was fined $9,000 for social media posts that Merchan said violated the court’s gag order.
As a criminal defendant in the Manhattan case, Trump is required to appear in court every day.
The trial takes place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of each week.
This week, court was not held on Monday due to the Jewish holiday of Passover.
Tuesday’s performances marked the beginning of the third week.
Barron will graduate on Friday, May 17, from Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida, as Barron, Melania and the former president moved to Mar-a-Lago after Trump left the White House in January 2021.
He previously attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland, during his father’s four years in the White House.

The 18-year-old is Trump’s only child with his third wife, Melania.
And as the youngest son, and a minor during Trump’s term, he largely stayed out of the public eye, while his half-siblings Donald Trump Jr., Eric, Ivanka and Tiffany played more prominent and political roles.
Trump attorney Alina Habba echoed her client’s frustration over potentially missing Barron’s graduation earlier this month.
—They don’t even allow a parent, much less a former president, to attend their child’s graduation? Habba said in an interview: ‘It’s just a sad situation for the American people. I can assure you of that.’
Stephanie Grisham, Melania Trump’s former chief of staff and communications director, told DailyMail.com earlier this month that she bets the former first lady was “not happy” that Trump made a fuss about missing Trump’s big day. Barron.
“She talked about missing Barron’s graduation on camera and then again on Truth Social because it generated a lot of coverage about it and it’s just not something she would have liked,” Grisham said.
‘There is no reason to include such a happy occasion in new stories like this, which will follow your child everywhere. “I thought it was incredibly selfish of them to use Barron in that way,” the former employee said.
Grisham resigned amid the attack on the Capitol on January 6 and went on to write an account of his time in the Trump administration.
