Trolls get instant karma for trying to derail Trump’s huge Madison Square Garden rally

Donald Trump is expected to hold a rally in the heart of New York City, at Madison Square Garden, on October 27. The former president is not expected to win the Empire State, but his visit to Manhattan is sure to galvanize local Trump supporters.

Social media trolls are signing up to attend Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden with no intention of going, but the joke may be on them.

The former president’s rally in the heart of Manhattan at the legendary stadium may not win him New York state, but it will galvanize Trump’s growing enthusiasm in the area, particularly among the minority communities with which his support has recently surged.

Trump and his campaign hope to sell out all 19,500 seats at MSG on Sunday, October 27, but some are already threatening to derail the event.

Anti-Trumpers George Conway, the ex-husband of the former president’s close adviser Kellyanne Conway, and Rick Wilson of the Lincoln Project, have suggested that their dozens of X supporters should sign up for the rally and not show up.

‘Don’t miss President Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden!! Sign up here,” Conway posted on her X account, apparently starting the plan.

Rick Wilson, her self-confessed never-Trump friend, reposted Conway’s invitation to take a seat and sarcastically added: ‘Oh no. It is totally wrong to flood the area with this. No one should do this.’

Conway then reposted Wilson, adding details of the event and offering ways for those protesting Trump’s rally to get there using public transportation.

‘You’re right. I am very, very sorry to encourage people to register for the Trump rally at 5:00 pm on October 27 at Madison Square Garden, 4 Penn Plaza in Manhattan (between West 31 and 33 Sts. and Seventh and Eighth Aves. ., easily accessible via the A, B, C, D, E, F, M, N, Q, R, W, 1, 2 and 3 trains, plus Amtrak, LIRR, NJ Transit and PATH),’ Conway continued.

“And I urge people not to click on this link and fill out the form,” he wrote again, posting the link to register for Trump’s MSG event.

“I can’t believe you posted a link,” Wilson responds again in a public exchange to make sure their nearly 4 million combined followers see his plan.

“People who have no intention of attending the rally could end up filling out the form and that would be very wrong,” Wilson’s second post said.

Many of his followers followed the sarcastic instructions and signed up for the demonstration.

Some post tongue-in-cheek follow-ups with screenshots of their confirmations from Trump campaigns saying “Thank you for signing up.”

‘Oops, looks like I’ve signed up for two tickets to the Trump rally in New York City!’ Brooklyn Dad Defiant, Democratic X personality, posted alongside his receipt.

“I hope I can attend, because if not, there will be two more empty seats at your rally.” And if everyone did that, wouldn’t that be just terrible? You shouldn’t take the two minutes it took me to do exactly the same thing.’

The thing is, the event is on a first-come, first-served basis, so it doesn’t matter how many people sign up to “reserve” a seat.

Whoever arrives at the stadium will get a seat until all available seats are filled.

Those who register online but do not show up will be given their seat.

But the Trump campaign now gets your registration data and can add these new registrations to its countless lists.

Still, the plan may alter the Trump campaign’s ability to estimate how many attendees will actually attend.
