Travis Kelce has revealed the conversations with girlfriend Taylor Swift that led to his surprise appearance at her Eras Tour show in London.

Kelce surprised 90,000 fans by taking the stage at Wembley Stadium as Swift’s backup dancer while she performed “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

And now, on Wednesday’s episode of New Heights, the Super Bowl winner revealed how the moment came about.

“It’s very unlike me, I don’t like getting up on stage,” Travis said sarcastically as his brother Jason questioned him about the moment.

‘I initially mentioned it to Tay, but I said, “How fun would it be if I went out on one of the 1989-era bikes,” and she started laughing and said, “Would you really be up for doing something like that?”

“I thought, ‘What? I’d love to do that, are you kidding?’ I’ve seen enough of the show, so I might as well get to work here.

“Indeed, she found the perfect moment for me to come in. Without a bike in case I collided with someone or ran over one of the dancers. It was the safest option.”

Travis joined backup dancers Kameron Saunders and Jan Ravnik onstage to “bring Taylor back to life” during the interlude between their performance of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart,” which Jason admitted was his new favorite song because it’s relatable to everyone.

“It’s a really fun, playful part of the show,” Travis added of the pantomime between the two tracks from his latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

‘It was the perfect time to get up there and have a little bit of fun, with her and the audience. It was amazing. It was great, I had a lot of fun. It was an honour to be on stage, obviously with Taylor, but also with Kam and Jan.

Kam’s brother, NFL defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, played four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and Travis, winning two Super Bowls before signing as a free agent last year with the New Orleans Saints.

“He’s one of my favorite teammates of all time,” Travis said of Khalen. “So being able to tear up the field with him and now tear up the stage with his brother.”

“I’ve always been a fan of dancers,” he continued. “I’m a big fan of backup dancers, they keep the party going. I’m a team guy. I’m here to make sure everyone has fun.

“I’ve seen the show so many times that I find myself doing the choreography in the audience. It’s fun to participate. The fact that they were willing to participate and help me and look like a professional was amazing.”

As part of his performance, Kelce had to carry Swift to the back of the stage, and he said that was where he was most nervous.

“The only thing I told myself was ‘don’t drop the baby’. Don’t drop Taylor on your way to this couch. That’s the golden rule,” she said, as Jason laughed, before comparing carrying her to holding a football in a game.

‘Coach (Eric) Bieniemy used to say, “That ball has our dreams, goals and aspirations on it; don’t drop it.” Shoutout to EB.’

His brother Jason had been with Travis at one of Swift’s three shows in London, but missed his brother’s surprise appearance as he was returning to the United States.

“You did great,” Jason said. “I wish I could have been there to see it. I enjoyed seeing the joy everyone had on stage. It was great to see.”

‘What I enjoyed most was the joy everyone had on stage: you, Kam, I mean Kam always have fun.

“The photo of you looking at Tay and that ear-to-ear smile. It was so fun to watch, I wish I could have been there to see it.”

Travis admitted that the cheers he receives from Arrowhead Stadium for a touchdown last a little longer, but he was still taken aback by the Eras Tour crowd inside Wembley.

“It took everyone a second to realize and then they put the camera on me, Kam and Jan, the three of them walking up on stage; that moment was pretty jarring,” she said.

Travis continued: “You don’t realise how big that stage is. It’s so much bigger than I could have ever imagined. I was like, ‘I feel tiny up here. ‘ It was amazing and I didn’t let Taylor down, which is all that matters.”
