Tori Spelling never believed she was “good enough.”
The Beverly Hills 90210 actress – who has Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and seven-year-old Beau with ex-husband Dean McDermott – had “so many fears, doubts and insecurities” but decided to sign up for Dancing With the Stars because she realised the things she was telling herself were very different to the positive messages she sends to her children.
She explained to People Magazine: ‘I never believed I was good enough or deserved much and that’s the opposite of what I try to teach my children.
“I tell them how much they deserve and that they can do whatever they want. And then I’m like, ‘Wait, I’m telling you this, but I’m not living it. ‘ So it was a conscious decision to say, ‘You know what? This is the point. ‘”
“In my life, everything has been reduced to ashes, not my children, but other things in my life. And this is the time to practice what we preach. No, we preach by example.”

While Tori was the first to be booted from DWTS, she insisted that her passion for dance is just “beginning” and that she has no plans to give it up.
She said: ‘I’ve dipped my toes into something that’s been transformative for me personally, so I’m excited to move forward.
“Obviously it won’t be in this ballroom every week, but I’m not going to stop.”
The 51-year-old actress previously admitted she had always wanted to compete on the show but had turned down offers because she hadn’t been “brave” enough to take part.
She said on her podcast ‘MisSPELLING’ earlier this month: ‘Every season I watched it, I was like, ‘Good for her (or) him. Oh, God. I wish I was brave enough to do it.’
But when they approached her again this year, Tori decided to give it a try despite it being “literally one of her biggest fears in life.”
She added: “I watch it with my kids. I’ve watched every season. So I’m overcoming my fears. I’m a work in progress. So I said yes to something that was one of my biggest fears…”

Spelling and her professional dancer partner Pasha Pashkov performed the rumba to the song This Is Me from the acclaimed 2017 musical film The Greatest Showman.
The couple’s dance received a score of 19 out of 30 which, combined with last week’s score of 17, brought the overall total to 36 for both nights.
But it wasn’t enough to save them from double elimination, as they, along with hustler Anna Delvey and her partner Ezra Sosa, were eliminated by viewers at home.
Despite the early loss, Spelling made it clear in rehearsal footage aired Tuesday that she was doing everything she could to inspire her children after a tough few years.
