Tom Feldman had it all: a beautiful wife and a "miracle" baby on the way. But then he got the worst news: he died just four weeks after the birth of his little girl.

A Queensland man who became a father just four weeks before he died of brain cancer is being remembered for living a life full of love.

Tom Feldman was first diagnosed with brain cancer in January 2020.

After completing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, doctors told Mr. Feldman and his partner of 10 years, Tarsha, that their results had stabilized.

Months later, the loving couple tied the knot, but happiness quickly turned to tragedy once again when Feldman was again diagnosed with brain cancer in November 2023.

Doctors told Mr and Mrs Feldman it would be difficult for them to conceive naturally because of his cancer treatment and her polycystic ovary syndrome.

So they were very happy when Mrs. Feldman became pregnant with her first child.

But when Mrs. Feldman was 16 weeks pregnant, doctors told the newlyweds that Mr. Feldman now had multiple tumors, one of which was inoperable.

While still recovering from the heartbreaking news, the couple welcomed the “most beautiful baby girl” in May 2024.

However, a week later, Mr Feldman was admitted to the palliative care ward at Sunshine Coast University Hospital and then transferred to Dove House in Caloundra.

Sadly, Mr. Feldman lost his battle with cancer four weeks after the birth of his daughter.

Family friend Courtney Robertson, who created a GoFundMe campaign to help cover Mr Feldman’s funeral costs, said the 31-year-old would be “incredibly missed”.

“The love that Tarsha and Tom have for each other is something you read about in books or see in movies,” Robertson said.

‘They grew up together from the age of 19 until recently, when they were 31, and started their family.

‘Their love for each other was evident until the very end, and it was absolutely undeniably electric.’

Ms. Robertson remembered her friend as someone who always made her laugh.

“Tom, thank you for having a great sense of humor and constantly making me laugh,” she said in the GoFundMe campaign.

‘For your strength and for allowing Tarsha to be herself.’
