Sunny Hostin was in tears during Friday's episode of The View

The View’s Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro were in tears during Friday’s show as they received a ‘powerful’ reading from Long Island Medium star Theresa Caputo, who claimed Ana’s late mother is now in ‘heaven’ and urged Sunny to keep to bear the ‘burden’ of her grandmother’s sudden death.

The 56-year-old psychic medium left the two women sobbing in a pre-recorded segment, where she also gave Ana, 52, a note of apology from her late brother Tuto, and also told Sunny, 55, that her grandfather was okay with the fact that she had been cremated.

The mum-of-two’s eyes filled with tears as Theresa told her her mum’s mum had come through and confirmed she had chosen the ‘right hospital’ to send her to when she suffered a stroke in 2020.

Ana was seen dabbing her eyes with a tissue as Theresa told her her mum wanted to apologize to her and had been reunited with her late sibling – who said “thank you for always remembering me” and was “waiting for her at the foot of the bed’ – referring to when their mother died.

During the psychic reading, Theresa asked Ana, ‘How do you connect with the chest? I just had a very hard time breathing, so it must be the heart, lungs or chest, otherwise there was a filling with fluid.

“Is this how your mother traveled or something you remember?” to which Ana replied: ‘She had lung problems, yes.’

Theresa continued: ‘She shows me that she was met by the young man on the other side and she shows me that it was the brother, I don’t know if it was her brother…

‘She cries and she says: “I knew there was a heaven”. She said to me, “after he died, I was never the same,” she says, “and I want to say that I’m sorry,” that in a way, the day this gentleman passed, she says, “part of my soul went with him and I’m sorry”, Theresa claimed before telling Ana she was shown red cardinal flowers.

In her cracking voice, Ana asked, ‘What do you mean by red cardinals?’ as Theresa told her, ‘That’s just what they showed me,’ as Ana admitted, ‘I think of my mother when I see red cardinals.’

‘So you have a unique piece of jewelery from your mother?’ Theresa then asked as Ana confirmed that she was wearing a ring that belonged to her mother and her mother before that.

“Perfect,” Theresa replied before adding, “I don’t know who that young man is. I don’t know if you felt anything, I saw the soul come and kiss you and he said, “thank you for always remembering me. ” Is that your brother?’ as Ana confirmed it was.

‘Because he said, “I took a part of my mother with me the day I died,” Theresa claimed, while Ana nodded and confirmed, ‘He did.’

“And he said, ‘and I’m sorry.’ You just have to know that he says, ‘I was there when mom crossed over, I was waiting for her at the foot of the bed,'” Theresa told her, while Fighting back tears again, Ana said, ‘I hope so.’

Meanwhile, Theresa told Sunny she was in touch with her grandmother, saying: ‘So she steps forward and there’s this speed because when souls snap their fingers at me, even if someone is sick before their departure, when they snap their fingers fingers crossed for me that means we didn’t expect them to pass.

‘I just heard too, and I’m very honest, I have no idea who I’m talking to, I was just told that you… no one knows about it, is that correct? Whether what you carried that you feel you should have been there, could have been there, is that correct?’ Theresa asked as Sunny replied, ‘Yes’ with tears in her eyes.

‘So this is something you have to allow me to take away from you today,’ Theresa told her before asking, ‘Who was cremated?’ which Sunny confirmed her grandmother was.

‘Okay, so know that it’s okay, you understand?’ Theresa told her before sharing a message from her grandmother: ‘It’s okay how I was laid to rest.’

Keen to ask her late grandparent a question, Sunny said: ‘So my grandma was living with me and she passed away. I think I chose the wrong hospital,’ to which Theresa replied: ‘You made the right choice’, before adding: ‘Do you still have her prayer book or Bible? Because she just showed me the bedside table with a Bible wrapped in rosary beads.’

The message was clearly too much for Sunny as she remarked: ‘Oh my God’ before taking her grandmother’s rosary beads out of her pocket as Theresa told her she was confirming that Sunny had ‘made the right choice and decision’ .

When The View cut back to the panel, Sunny and Ana cried again as the latter announced, ‘Damn, you’ve made me cry twice in one day!’ as she dabbed her eyes again with a napkin.
