Mister Jim Ratcliffe echoed Sir Alex Ferguson’s words when he declared he wanted Manchester United to knock City “off their perch”.

He also described them, as Fergie did in 2009, as the “noisy neighbors.”

In the 15 years since then, it is City who have moved into the big house.

United, however, are not making any noise and, although they are technically neighbors, they are a world away from City.

Jaime C.Arragher’s harsh analysis on Monday Night Football, where he described the way the team tries to defend as “impossible” was spot on.
