A Loose Women panellist jokingly asked Chelsea Flower Show organizers why they had rejected her from the jetset event, in a hilarious Instagram story.
Nadia Sawalha, 59, confessed she was longing for an invitation to the annual event organized by the Royal Horticultural Society and in a recent clip on TikTok asked: “Is it because I’m from south London?” Is it because I’m a little common?
Nadia was invited in 2017 and took her mother, who she says has not stopped pestering her to come again, but she has not received an invitation since.
The panelist said she was on her best behavior as she rubbed shoulders with London’s elite, limiting herself to a single glass of champagne.
She even emphasized that she has a “nice garden” and includes gardening segments on her family YouTube channel, so she is perplexed by the organizers’ decision.
Nadia Sawalha, 59, jokingly hit back at the Chelsea Flower Show for snubbing her at the prestigious annual event and asked the RHS organizer why she hadn’t been asked back.
Laughing, she began the clip with: “Okay, this is a serious question for the Chelsea Flower Show: what have I done to piss you off?”
“I was invited one year, I came with my mum, it was lovely, I ate the cake, just had a glass of champagne, took photos and said ‘fantastic’.
‘My mother and mother-in-law ask me every year if we can come back and I haven’t been able to tell them that when I ask, they always say no!
‘I just have to pretend every year that I forgot to ask you. What have I really done?
Nadia assured the RHS that she had a nice garden and was well behaved when she last attended the socialite event, but questioned whether her decision was because she was “too ordinary” and a resident of south London.
