Antonetta Stevens, 27, posed as his partner to lure his lover Ashley Bocanegra to her home in Burford, Georgia, before launching her murderous rampage.

Grim police interview footage reveals the moment a scorned fiancée realises she faces years in jail for manslaughter after taking out her fury on her partner’s lover.

Antonetta Stevens, 27, posed as her partner to lure his mistress Ashley Bocanegra to her home in Burford, Georgia, with a text message from her phone.

He lunged at the mother-of-one when she arrived, grabbed her by the hair, forced her to the ground and unleashed a flurry of punches on the slim 30-year-old.

Bocanegra was taken to the hospital, where he later died from internal bleeding. Police later arrived at the house to inform Stevens of the fatal consequences of his jealousy.

“I feel like she feels very remorseful for everything that happened to that young lady,” he told police. “I don’t know, this is just too much.”

Stevens, left, was enraged when she discovered her partner Daniel Gonzalez was having an affair with her slightly built co-worker. She is seen here as officers made their first visit to the home after the incident was reported to police before the extent of Bocanegra's injuries were known.

Stevens and her partner Daniel Gonzalez had been dating for five years and had a three-year-old son together when Stevens discovered their romance.

Bocanegra was her manager at a nearby flooring and decorating store, and Gonzalez had told her 17-year-old sister Janine about her affair.

Janine told Stevens she hatched her revenge plan after seeing her partner and his lover walking together near the store during their lunch break.

The next day, he marched to Bocanegra as he approached the apartment block in response to the fake text message.

Janine stood behind filming the encounter on her phone as Stevens approached his victim shouting: “I’m going to kill you.”

“I’ll do worse to you,” he shouts as he hits Bocanegra in the face.

“That’s why he was trying to protect you, but now he doesn’t care if you get beaten up.”

Janine dragged the helpless victim down the street, pulling her hair, while Stevens dealt fatal blows to the woman.

The couple snatched her phone with the intention of using it to inform Bocanegra’s husband about their affair and left her sitting, beaten and bloodied, on the street while they returned to the apartment.

Bocanegra, 30, was a married mother of a seven-year-old boy.

Gonzalez had been sleeping unconscious while the attack occurred and woke up to the sound of her lover knocking on her door demanding her phone back.

Her attackers returned the weapon to her and she limped away before police arrived in response to 911 calls from neighbors.

They returned that night after their victim, who was the mother of a seven-year-old boy, deteriorated in hospital to inform her that she was under arrest for murder.

“Okay, um, wow, I’m really sorry about that, um, that wasn’t my intention,” he tells them.

“I’m going through a lot of mental stuff,” she laments. “I have bipolar depression and I’m going through a lot of stuff right now.”

Janine was also taken to the police station, where she repeatedly laughs as she recounts what happened, apparently unaware that her freedom hangs in the balance.

“So she comes and we leave and she comes to the house, you know it’s a big fight, a big fight.

‘So after the fight, we took her phone and went to see her husband to let him know.

“You know, just stir it up a little bit,” he laughed.

“She starts banging on the door like crazy because, you know, we have her phone.

“She gets her phone back, yeah, so I don’t know how she left like I wasn’t seeing her after that because my brother was mad as hell and you know he doesn’t want me in the business.

“I was already too involved in this, so he was following me and I was just like ‘okay.'”

“I’m not out there trying to hurt anyone,” he tells detectives.

“I didn’t even mean to argue with her today.”

Janine’s smile freezes on her face and changes to a look of horror as her interviewer calmly informs her that she is also being charged with murder.

—Me! —she gasps.

‘Wow, that’s it, that’s it, that’s a shame.

—No, no, no, no, what? Murder? I barely laid my hands on him.

“All I did was pull her hair.”

The murder that occurred in August 2022 made headlines across the country, but the extensive footage of the police interview has just been released by Law and Justice.

Both women are now in Arrendale State Prison serving 20-year sentences for voluntary manslaughter and forcible robbery.
