Mark Wahlberg wasn’t allowed to play golf at a prestigious Sydney course earlier this month after he arrived at the establishment in black socks.
The American actor, 52, arrived at the exclusive Northern Beaches club, Elanora but was reportedly told he had to change into a pair of white socks if he wanted to play golf.
General manager Cathy Neagle duty The Daily Telegraph: ‘We have dress standards. They do include white socks.’
Many golf courses have enforced strict dress regulations for their members and they must be followed.
Mark, who is Down Under to film a new movie, was also recently spotted playing golf at a course in La Perouse, New South Wales.

It comes after the Daddy’s Home star left church after attending mass in Sydney’s Rose Bay on Saturday.
The American actor looked buffer than ever as he descended the staircase outside the church alongside other worshippers, dressed in items from his athleisure brand Municipal.
Mark is thought to be heading up to the Gold Coast to film his upcoming movie Six Billion Dollar Man.
He has previously visited Australia on a business trip and has gushed about his love for the country.

The Hollywood star told the Daily Telegraph back in 2021 that he’s hoping to shoot a movie on the Gold Coast soon and that he wants to bring his family with him.
‘I’m looking forward to coming back,’ he said.
‘Hopefully I’ll be able to move my family down to Australia for four to five months and make a movie on the Gold Coast and enjoy that beautiful country.’
Mark added that his wife, model Rhea Durham, ‘would fall in love with Australia’ if she visited.
The star has had a number of business interests in Australia, including being an investor in Aussie fitness chain F45.
Mark also recently brought his US burger chain Wahlburgers to Australia.
