Terry Crews revealed that his wife Rebecca King-Crews had previously experienced three miscarriages.
The 56-year-old retired football player spoke about his own grief as he reflected on the Sky Elements drone performance that “depicted the story of losing a child” on the latest episode of America’s Got Talent, which aired on Sept. 11.
“My wife and I know what it’s like to lose a child,” he said. People“We have had three abortions.”
The TV host, who has hosted AGT since season 14, continued: “It’s one of those things that was so meaningful and special because dedication is just, it’s a way of processing these things.”
The performance was choreographed to Lily Meola’s emotional song Butterfly, released in 2022.

The father of five said the display was something the public and viewers at home “needed” to see.
“Today is the perfect AGT show,” she said. “We got a balance between everything. We laughed, we gave to each other, we had fun, we danced. It was all very varied and it was perfect.”
Terry also reflected on turning to music to cope with loss and disconnect from technological devices.
While grieving the loss of her unborn children, Terry said she would “sit in a room and listen to music” to process her feelings and emotions.
He also noted that talking to his wife was really helpful.
“We talk about it. We have really, really nice, long, deep conversations,” Terry explained about how she deals with heartbreak. “Turn off the TV, turn off the phone, and let’s talk about it.”
Terry and his wife, 58, who married in 1989, have had five children during their marriage.
The couple are parents to Naomi, 37, Azriél, 33, Tera, 26, Wynfrey, 21, and Isaiah, 19.
