This is the terrifying moment a fitness trainer is brutally executed outside his home, just months after the strange death of his wife.
Dramatic footage showed Giovanny Carvalho, 36, running from the suspect, a 35-year-old off-duty police officer, and standing outside his home in Petrolina, Brazil.
Carvalho fell to the ground and could be seen kicking the gunman as he desperately fought for his life.
He then tried to wrestle the gun away from the shooter before it appeared he shot him several times in the body and the back of the head.

The shooter then stood over Carvalho, who was lying face down, and shot him six times in the back of the head.
The police officer, a member of the Pernambuco Military Police, was detained on Tuesday morning in an apartment near the scene of the shooting.
Witnesses told CNN Brazil that Carvalho had been romantically involved with the police officer’s wife and that the affair may have led to the shooting.
“The accused is a military police officer and, as this is a common and non-military crime, the investigations of the case will be carried out by the Civil Police,” the Pernambuco Civil Police said in a statement.

According to a report from CNN Brazil, witnesses said that Giovanny Carvalho had had a romantic relationship with the wife of a member of the Pernambuco Military Police.
The Pernambuco Military Police will also conduct an administrative review of the accused officer.
Carvalho’s execution comes eight months after the death of his wife, 32-year-old Aila Pimenta.
Pimenta, who also worked as a personal fitness trainer, was electrocuted while removing clothes from a clothesline that was hanging next to an air conditioner in the family home.
Carvalho and one of the couple’s three children, a six-year-old girl, suffered an electric shock and were treated at a hospital.
The couple were also parents to a one-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl.
