Teri Hatcher revealed that she gave up on dating after she was banned from the dating app Hinge.
The 59-year-old Desperate Housewives star revealed all to Angela Scanlon, who is replacing regular host Chris Evans on her Virgin Radio show.
Teri looked angelic when she arrived. with a long white dress with English embroidery and white heels.
While speaking about the 15th anniversary of her film, Coraline, she opened up about her love misadventures.
Teri Hatcher, 59, revealed she has given up on dating after being banned from dating app Hinge as she arrived at Virgin Radio in London on Tuesday in a white ensemble.
The star appeared on the show to talk about Coraline’s 15th anniversary, but also revealed that she gave up on dating after her dating app mishap.
The Desperate Housewives star looked incredible in a white broderie anglaise dress and matching heels as she headed inside.
She said: “I think the idea was to say to the universe, ‘I’m open to dating. ‘ Everyone talks about that: ‘You have to make gestures to the universe to make things happen for you. ‘”
‘And here’s how it went: I went on a dating app and everyone said I was open to dating, right? Although I don’t think I really thought that would be the direction that would work for me. But I also didn’t think that one day I would open the app on my phone and get blocked!’
The star went on to explain that she believes her account was blocked so quickly because no one believed it was really her.
She said: ‘I think what happened, when I was on the app, was that there were people who were like, “This can’t be Teri Hatcher. What would she be doing on this app?”
“Or they would be like, ‘Hey, do you want to go out with me?’ And when I didn’t want to, I think maybe they got mad that I didn’t respond. So I think collectively, those people must have alerted Hinge that someone was impersonating me.”
“But that era is over now. I still don’t date, but I don’t use any apps either!”
The star previously told This Morning hosts Rylan Clark and Josie Gibson that Matthew Perry texted her about their love disaster before his tragic death.

During her interview on the radio show, the Desperate Housewives star explained that she had wanted to try to get back into the dating world, but found it difficult.

She said‘When you get banned, they don’t just send you an email, they just block you. And the only recourse I had was to go on Twitter and ask Hinge through that. Then they responded to me and they re-included me.’
Teri said Matthew also texted her at that time to share his experience on the dating app.
She said: ‘He and I kept in touch periodically after I worked with him on The Odd Couple, years ago. And that was really fun.
‘We would communicate once or twice a year. We had that kind of texting relationship, so when I tweeted, he immediately responded saying, ‘I got kicked off Hinge too. What the hell are we both doing on Hinge anyway?’
Matthew tragically died in November aged 54 after a ketamine overdose.
Teri was married twice before: to Marcus Leithold from 1988 to 1989, and then to Jon Tenney from 1994 to 2003.
In the interview, Teri said Matthew texted her at the time to share his experience on the dating app, saying, “What the hell are we both doing on Hinge anyway?” (pictured together in The Odd Couple in 2016).
