Tennessee Titans linebacker Arden Key will be eligible to play in the team’s home opener after winning his appeal against a suspension.
On July 30, the league initially suspended Key for six games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
But his appeal was successful, meaning the Titans’ gamble to get Key to take first-team reps despite the potential punishment has paid off.
Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons posted on Twitter that Key won his appeal, adding the caption: “See you Sept. 8.”
Last season was Key’s first in Music City with the Titans, where he had six sacks in seventeen games.

Key had six sacks last season with the Titans, his first season in Tennessee.
That was just a half-sack shy of his career-high of six and a half sacks, which he recorded in 2021 with the San Francisco 49ers.
Key is a seven-year NFL veteran after spending his college years at LSU.
Tennessee is coming off a 6-11 season, its worst winning percentage since 2015.
The games Key is now eligible for include the opener against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 8 and games against the Jets on Sept. 15, the Packers on Sept. 22, the Dolphins on Sept. 30, the Colts on Oct. 13 and the Bills on Oct. 20.
