The Beverly Hills, 90210 star had been battling breast cancer that she eventually said had spread to her brain.

Alyssa played Phoebe Halliwell on the long-running WB series Charmed, about a trio of witch sisters.

She issued a statement acknowledging the “troubled” nature of their relationship, but said “the world is less without her.”

“It’s no secret that Shannen and I had a complicated relationship, but underneath there was someone I deeply respected and admired,” Milano said via Entertainment Weekly.

‘Rest in peace Shannen Doherty. I met her during Full House. She was lovely and had a beautiful smile. Today I will also think of the women in my life who succumbed to cancer – my mother, my sister Sharon and my niece Shannon, who were all so strong and so beautiful.’

Oscar winner Viola Davis commented on People’s Instagram post about Shannen’s death.

“Oh my God! So sad. Rest in peace,” the How To Get Away With Murder star wrote.
