The Saudi powerhouse who has been instrumental in bringing some of the biggest boxing matches to the Gulf State has announced a “huge” show at Wembley later this year.

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has been a constant presence in the ring in recent years and his name has never been far from the lips of fighters and promoters after his high-profile clashes.

The Saudi advisor’s list of achievements includes bringing the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua vs Ngannou fights to the Middle East, as well as the undisputed heavyweight clash between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on May 18.

But their attention now appears to have turned to an overseas event and London could be the beneficiary of a mega night of action.

“I’m talking, thinking and studying with Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn to do something huge at Wembley in the third quarter as a commercial for the Riyadh season.” He said.

The news comes a week after Eddie Hearn revealed that Joshua and Fury could sign a two-fight deal to finally meet, with one of the fights potentially taking place at Wembley Stadium.

Joshua dispatched Ngannou in two rounds in Saudi Arabia earlier this month and has now had three of his last five fights in the Middle Eastern country. A victory for Fury against Usyk could set up a fight against his fellow Brit.

“This is a gentleman called Turki Alalshikh, who is obviously a very influential figure in sports and entertainment in Saudi Arabia,” Hearn said on The Sports Agents podcast.

“He’s also the biggest fight fan I’ve ever met.” And surprisingly, he is now talking about setting up two fights between Fury and AJ: one in Saudi Arabia and another at Wembley Stadium.

Joshua and Fury have fought at Wembley before and had some of their best nights in boxing at the iconic venue.

He returned the following year to knock out Russian Alexander Povetkin in the seventh round.
