The 64-year-old presenter took to her Instagram Stories to share a series of snaps documenting her fun-filled evening with pals Rachael Eleri and Liv Davey.

She looked to be having the time of her life as she posed for a photo with the duo, holding up a peace sign while all three wore black sunglasses.

They went out for food and drinks at the Greek Mediterranean restaurant Gaia, in Mayfair, London.

Ruth appeared to be enjoying her night out as she pouted at the camera for the fun snap, looking glamorous in a white shirt and black trousers.

The TV presenter’s night out comes just over a week after she made her triumphant return to Loose Women following her split from husband Eamonn Holmes.

Opening her comeback show, Ruth announced to the audience: ‘Welcome to your first Loose Women of the week, it’s great to have you with us!’

Her co-star Coleen Nolan added: “I just want to say I’m so, so happy you’re back.”

As the crowd cheered her return, panelist Janet Street-Porter shouted: “Thank God! Thank God!”

“I stayed with her and her,” he joked, pointing to Coleen and Brenda Edwards.

She had taken an extended break from the ITV show following news the couple were going their separate ways in May and was welcomed back to the studio to rapturous applause.

—I know, I won’t do it again, Janet. It’s so nice to be with you again, Ruth replied.

So far, Ruth has refrained from speaking about the breakup.

She shares son Jack, 22, with Eamonn, while he has three children, Declan, 35, Rebecca, 32, and Niall, 30, from a previous marriage.

Ruth first appeared on Loose Women 24 years ago but has not been on the show as a presenter since April.

Meanwhile, Eamonn has continued to work at GB News since the split and has not spoken about the divorce.

Earlier this month, a TV source told MailOnline that although it was incredibly emotional for Ruth to speak about the split, she is a professional and knows she cannot return to TV without addressing why she has been absent since April.

The source said: ‘The Loose Women presenters have a history of speaking openly about their marriage break-ups on air and it’s a very supportive environment.’

They added: ‘Ruth knows viewers are very interested in her break-up, so she will be addressing her and Eamonn for the first time on the show.

‘The public has been there through the ups and downs of their relationship, she has always been very open and honest and later this month will be no different… she owes it to the viewers to say something.

‘She will be surrounded by the people closest to her on the show and then she will call it a day… she has no plans to do a big interview, this will be the only time she speaks.’

During another recent episode of Loose Women, viewers slammed presenter Ruth for being “disrespectful” when she seemingly snubbed Eamonn during the show.

The panel consisted of friendship bracelets and special gifts they had received from loved ones.

Sharing her thoughts, Ruth said: ‘I think any gift from a friend is a special gift, anything a friend gives you.

‘When someone says friendship bracelet I don’t think of a pretty silver bracelet, I think of a little piece of cotton that a child made for you.

“I don’t have any grandchildren, I hope to have them one day, but I can imagine it. If a grandchild or someone had made me something, I would feel the need to wear it.”

Ruth and Eamonn, who married in 2010, have one son together, Jack, 22 (left). Eamonn also has three children from a previous marriage: Declan, 35, Rebecca, 32 (right) and Niall, 30 (pictured in 2018).

Viewers quickly realised that Ruth had completely ignored the fact that she has stepchildren with Eamonn.

“For Ruth to say she doesn’t have any grandchildren when she has stepchildren from Eamonn’s side, I thought was a bit cruel.”

‘#FreeWomen I thought you had a granddaughter, Ruth.’

“They’re Eamonn’s grandchildren. I bet she doesn’t see them now.”

‘In the 14 years Eamon and Ruth were together, her stepson Declan had two children. She would have met them… Her stepsons. Now, she says she has no grandchildren. Ouch!’
