Roxy Jacenko has scolded fellow business owner Jane Lu for her work-from-home policies at Showpo.
The 44-year-old public relations queen expressed her disapproval of the CEO’s decision to have employees work in the office only two out of five days a week.
Speech in The Lazy CEO Podcast with Jane LuRoxy emphasized her belief that having staff present in the office five days a week would foster greater collaboration among the team.
You have a whole team out there. Bring them here five days a week, not two days a week,” he said.
‘The only way to work as a team is with the team. And I’m sorry, I don’t believe in this work from home thing.’
Jane acknowledged that when she had her team in the Showpo office full-time, she noticed more ideas “bouncing around” and being exchanged between colleagues.
‘Before Covid, I was more like the same age as everyone. We were together five days. (There was) a lot more collaboration,’ he said.
‘Everyone just presents me with ideas. There is no brainstorming.

‘Yes, but that’s your fault. You’re the boss,” Roxy joked. “You’re not together, you’re not on the floor with them…only two days a week.”
Australian online fashion retailer Showpo was founded in 2010 by Jane and has a target market of young women.
The CEO has a net worth of approximately $55 million.
Elsewhere in the chat, Roxy revealed how he gained 18kg after moving to Singapore in 2023 with her husband Oliver Curtis and their two children.

The entrepreneur settled in the Southeast Asian country in July last year after selling her family mansion in Sydney’s Vaucluse and closing some of her businesses.
She admitted that she stacked in kilos after moving due to their lifestyle changes.
Roxy explained that she spent most of her time eating, drinking and shopping and this led her to gain 18kg in weight.
‘Being a housewife wasn’t for me. I just bought and bought. “It was the most boring existence,” said Roxy, who announced her return to PR in September.
“I consumed 18kg of alcohol in a year and realized this is not for me, so I went back to work.”
He also spoke about the terrifying moment he overdosed on Ozempic in an effort to lose weight.
Roxy revealed she had taken four times the recommended dose before suffering severe vomiting and continuous shaking.
‘I gained a lot of weight. “I had to unbutton my jeans when I was sitting in the car, so I got absorbed,” she explained.
‘I bought it, I tried it. I took four times the amount the first time.
Roxy went on to say that she is “very sick of people” who deny using Ozempic, adding: “I call a spade a spade on my platform and I don’t care.”
The PR queen previously said she thought she was going to “die” after taking one milligram of the diabetes treatment, which was four times the amount a doctor prescribed.
