But he admitted he was worried about his safety as one of Trump’s most visible and strident critics, given the passion of his millions of followers.

De Niro weighed in on the jury’s verdict in the “hush money” trial on a day when Trump ridiculed him with a deeply false online video.

When De Niro was asked if he ever feared for his safety, he said yes, but he refused to be intimidated by Trump or threats from his fans.

‘People are fed up and are going to fight back. That’s not what we do in this country.

“I think justice was done,” he said of Trump’s verdict at an event for his new film Ezra.

It also insults his height, calls Trump a “real man” and includes crude references to gay sex.

The crude video comes after DeNiro criticized Trump at the New York press conference, after providing the voiceover for a video that attacked the former president as a “clown” and a wannabe “dictator.”
