Actor Robert De Niro lent his voice to the Biden campaign for a new ad claiming former President Donald Trump ‘broke’ after losing the 2020 race.

On Friday, Biden’s campaign said the 30-second ad was to remind voters of Trump’s “tumultuous presidency” and then his decline into “the unhinged, power-hungry candidate he is today.”

A source familiar with the creation of the ad told DailyMail.com that De Niro was shown the ad with a generic voiceover and less than 24 hours later told the campaign that he loved it and recorded it using his distinctive voice. .

“From powerful tweets to drinking bleach, tear gassing citizens, and staging a photo op, we knew Trump was out of control when he was president,” De Niro said in the ad. “He Then he lost the 2020 election and broke down.”

The screen played scenes from Jan. 6 when De Niro said Trump was “desperately trying to hold on to power.”

“From intense tweeting to drinking bleach, tear gassing citizens and staging a photo op, we knew Trump was out of control when he was president,” De Niro said in the 30-second ad.

“Now he appears again, this time threatening to be a dictator, to annul the Constitution,” the actor continued.

The ad shows a clip of Trump where the former president says, “If I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath.”

The “bloodbath” comment was originally made when Trump raised fears that China was building cars in Mexico, which could devour the American auto industry.

The former president has told his supporters that he would be his “retribution” when he runs for the White House for a third time.

“Trump wants revenge and he will stop at nothing to get it,” De Niro said to conclude the ad.

It will air on television and digital platforms in the battleground states, as well as on cable, according to the campaign.

De Niro’s language mirrors what President Joe Biden has said about Trump on the campaign trail in recent days.

The 30-second ad featured former President Donald Trump's infamous photo op moment with a Bible across the street from the White House after Black Lives Matter protesters were tear-gassed to clear the way for the president and his assistants.

During campaign events over the weekend in Atlanta and Detroit, Biden said Trump “broke.”

“Not only is he obsessed with losing in 2020, but he is clearly deranged,” the president said at a closed-door fundraiser Saturday night in Atlanta.

De Niro’s involvement comes as the campaign has become more involved with Hollywood.

A large-scale fundraiser is being planned in Los Angeles next month featuring George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

The A-listers will be joined by former President Barack Obama.

A day after appearing in the White House briefing room earlier this month, Star Wars actor Mark Hamill sent out a fundraising appeal on behalf of the 2024 campaign.

De Niro has long been a supporter of Biden and other Democrats, and attended the glitzy state dinner with Japan last month with his girlfriend Tiffany Chen.

In the past, he has referred to Trump as “pure evil,” called the Republican a “total monster” and said another Trump term would be a “nightmare” for the country.
