Rita Ora has revealed that she believes “communication is key” when it comes to making her marriage to Taika Waiti work.
The pop star, 33, married Hollywood director Taiki, 48, in 2022 in an ‘intimate ceremony’ in London after four years of dating.
But despite their “crazy” schedules, he explained that they have a “genuine connection” that keeps them together.
She said Sun: ‘What works is a genuine connection and a true sense of friendship. Communication is key.
“Our schedules are very busy, so it’s important to talk and that’s what has worked for us.”

The Thor director found time to appear in Rita’s new music video Ask & You Shall Receive, in which she strips naked in a laundromat, but insisted her brief cameo as an employee was not planned.
She explained: “He was just hanging out with me and I said, ‘Come on, let’s get you to work, you might as well do a cameo.'” “It was really nice, unplanned.”
Rita put on a leggy display in leather shorts and a crop top which she paired with towering platforms and extravagant eye makeup for the video.
The stunner then left little to the imagination as she donned a nude bra and thong and even hung from a washing machine.
Ask & You Shall Receive is Rita’s latest release following the success of her 2023 top ten album, You & I.
Speaking about the latest release, Rita said: “The song is full of upbeat, summery vibes and is about seizing the moment romantically and diving right into that special someone.”
“It was co-written by the amazing Raye, which feels like a coming full circle moment as I have so many amazing memories from when we were on tour together for the Phoenix tour.”
Rita set pulses racing in the video for her new single Ask & You Shall Receive, which she co-wrote with Raye and premiered on Friday.

The Anywhere hitmaker married the director in August 2022, but they didn’t confirm their nuptials until their one-year anniversary last year.

Rita said she wanted to keep her wedding to Taika a secret because “she’s always given the public everything she’s a part of.”
The couple did not announce their marriage to the public until they celebrated their first anniversary.
Rita said ES Magazine that her friends were worried about missing her big day, after she and Taika opted to only have eight guests for their intimate ceremony.
She said: “I’ve been in the public eye for a while and I’ve always given everything I’m a part of to the public.” It felt good to have something that was a secret for a while.
