Ricky Pearsall reunited with the two lifeguards who helped save his life last month

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was reunited with the first responders who helped save his life after he was shot during a robbery last month.

Pearsall was joined on the field by Staff Sgt. Joelle Harrell and Dr. Lucy Kornblith, who each presented her with a signed jersey midway through the first quarter.

Pearsall was in street clothes on the sidelines of the game against the New York Jets with no obvious signs of lingering injuries from the shooting that occurred nine days after it happened.

The rookie first-round draft pick suffered a gunshot wound to the chest during the altercation and is in serious but stable condition.

Pearsall was reportedly targeted for his Rolex watch. The 23-year-old from Arizona was a week away from his first NFL game, though his status for tonight’s game was already marred by a shoulder injury.

Pearsall was selected 31st overall in April’s NFL Draft after playing collegiately at Arizona State and Florida.

The teenager accused of shooting San Francisco 49ers player Ricky Pearsall in the chest last weekend was allegedly carrying a gun to his high school the previous week, DailyMail.com has learned.

A police report in the 17-year-old’s hometown of Tracy, California, confirmed that the earlier incident took place on Tuesday, August 21, at Stein High School, an alternative school for students who have gotten into trouble in the district’s general population.

Police have an open case into the incident and the student has been disciplined by the school, sources told DailyMail.com.

However, the student’s name and information were not mentioned in the police report, which contains extensive redacted text, according to police, because the student is a minor. The school district also declined to discuss the incident and referred all questions to the San Francisco Police Department.

DailyMail.com knows the identity of the teenager but is not reporting it due to his age.
