Amid Joe Biden’s imploding re-election campaign and public concerns about his mental decline, it has now emerged that a Parkinson’s disease expert has been making frequent visits to the White House.

Dr. Kevin Cannard, a neurologist specializing in movement disorders at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, visited the president’s residence eight times in eight months, according to public visitor logs.

On January 17 of this year, records show, Dr. Cannard met with Biden’s White House physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, cardiologist Dr. John E. Atwood and another unidentified person at 5 p.m.

O’Connor says she has not ordered a cognitive test for the 81-year-old president despite growing calls for a mental evaluation following Biden’s car crash debate last month with Donald Trump and the botched damage control that followed.

Biden’s team and its allies are struggling to convince voters, Democratic lawmakers and party members that he is still fit for another term behind the Resolute Desk, with faltering poll numbers and growing resistance within the left.

Cannard’s most recent appointment to the White House was in late March 2024, but his first visit was in November 2022.

Most of Cannard’s shutdowns occurred between summer 2023 and spring 2024.

The doctor recently published a paper on Parkinson’s disease, a central nervous system disorder that affects movement control and is most often characterized by body tremors.

Biden has sought to dispel rumors that he is unfit to lead and has continued to say he will run in November’s election, but has declined to say whether he undergoes regular formal cognitive testing.

“Look, I have a cognitive test every day,” Biden said when asked by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Friday, referring to the tasks he faces daily in a rigorous job.

“I’m put to that test every day. In everything I do. You know, I’m not just campaigning, I’m running the world.”

Records show the president was at the White House on the day of the January doctors’ meeting, as it took place the same day he hosted House and Senate leaders to persuade them to support additional funding for Ukraine.

Cannard has held his position at Walter Reed for nearly 20 years.

He has served as a “neurology specialist supporting the White House Medical Unit” since 2012, according to his LinkedIn.

The White House has declined to confirm whether the doctors met with Biden, but O’Connor’s primary duty is to care for the president and the first family.

Biden was given a clean bill of health by his doctor during an annual exam in February, which ruled out Parkinson’s disease, O’Connor said at the time.

He became the president’s physician in 2021 and has contact with him every day.

Following the debate, the White House said Biden had a verbal interview with his doctor.

But questions about his competence remain, especially after his first interview since the disastrous June 27 debate did little to calm fears.

Several Democrats had called on Biden to drop out of the race after the debate and reiterated this call after yesterday’s ABC interview.

Former White House physician and current Rep. Ronny Jackson accused the president and his wife of trying to hide his mental state.

“I think he and Jill Biden led the cover-up,” Jackson said.

“Kevin O’Connor is like a son to Jill Biden: she loves him. It’s crazy.”

“Kevin O’Connor was in that position from day one of the Biden administration because they knew they could trust Kevin to say and do whatever needed to be said or done and cover up whatever needed to be covered up. He’s part of the Biden family.”

O’Connor and Cannard declined to comment when contacted by the New York Post.

A White House spokesman also declined to comment on the nature of the meeting.

“A wide variety of Walter Reed system specialists visit the White House complex to treat the thousands of military personnel who work there,” he said.
