A young woman has revealed the very awkward text message she received after ignoring a potential suitor she had met online.

Emily Webb, 25, was on a layover in Los Angeles when she stopped responding to the man’s texts after he asked her to “hang out” with her on her last Saturday night in the city.

When he didn’t hear back from Emily, he sent her a survey to find out exactly why he had been ignored.

Emily laughed as she revealed the strange response she had to being ignored.:’Dating will be serious business in 2024.’

The survey gave her four options as her “main reason for disinterest” in the man, who wasn’t wasting a good opportunity to give her some helpful feedback.

These included: “I had no charisma,” “I was a little hesitant about the look and decided to go the other way,” “I just got busy/forgot about it,” and “My personality wasn’t clicking.”

Emily found the survey “hilarious” and noted that she had ignored many men and had never been asked to fill out a rejection survey before.

“At least he’s trying to improve,” he laughed.

“He’s trying to work on himself, I respect that,” he added.

The man had asked her to go out with him for his birthday and added that he was going to a club with his friends.

She said that going out in a group would make her feel like an “accessory” and that she wouldn’t do it.

The man responded by telling the young blonde that she would be a “sexy accessory,” so she made up an excuse about flying out the next day before stopping responding.

Some of Emily’s fans laughed and said the man should have been able to pick up on her cues without sending out a survey.

“There’s no way he could have done this. It’s hilarious,” one wrote.

But others were not impressed with her video and called it “cruel.”

“If I saw this, I would wipe you out of my sight,” said one man.

“Stop using people,” said another.

Others just wanted to know if I had actually completed the survey.

With many Australians looking for love on dating apps, ghosting has become common.

A Forbes Health survey found that 76 percent of respondents had either ghosted or been ghosted.

Chicago psychologist Dr. Roxy Zarrabi explained why ghosting can be so painful and uncomfortable for people.

Ghosting is a form of rejection, and not knowing the reason can cause a lot of anxiety and pain in people.

“You may become obsessed with outlandish theories and try to find the elusive missing piece of the puzzle to arrive at a solution,” Dr. Zarrabi said.

It usually ends with people blaming themselves as well, the doctor explained.

Singles who spoke out about the ghosting phenomenon on social media thought apps were to blame.

“Choices are addictive, apps offer too many options,” said one woman who has been ghosted.

Another woman wasted no time wondering why she had been ignored.

“Please don’t send them messages. Let the dead rest,” he said.
