Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “irrelevant” to the rest of the royals and are “running out of time” to reunite with the family, Richard Eden told Palace Confidential.

Speaking on Mail+’s weekly talk show, Richard Eden, newspaper editor of the Daily Mail, claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now “not wanted” by the royal family.

Particularly for Charles’ youngest son, 39, “time is running out to return while his father is still king.”

Before Harry and Meghan moved to the United States in 2020, Richard said Harry was always “central” to the royal plans.

“We saw it at Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012, where it was just Harry and his brother, Camilla and Charles and, of course, the queen,” he explained.

Speaking on Mail+’s weekly chat show, Daily Mail editor Richard Eden (pictured) claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now “not wanted” by the royal family.

‘Charles thought that when Harry had a family, they would keep commitments and share those tasks with William, so I think time is running out.

“If Harry wants to return at some point, he must do so while his father is still King.”

The Journal editor added that the Prince of Wales would be much more reluctant to allow Harry to return to the family, if he tried, than his father.

“I really think that when Prince William is King, I can’t imagine him letting Harry come back and have a role again,” he stressed.

“Now they are irrelevant, they are simply not wanted as part of the monarchy.

“Maybe there could be some radical change, but it’s hard to see.”

The comments come after an “embarrassing” misstep by Meghan, who lives in Montecito with Harry and their two children.

Meghan got into trouble for following too much the announcement that the Princess of Wales would appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at Trooping the Color last weekend.

During this week’s episode of Palace Confidential, Richard Eden described the Sussexes as “irrelevant.”

Just hours before Kate Middleton appeared at the event, her first appearance in several months since her current cancer treatment, a friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex posted a photo of Megan’s new dog jam and biscuits.

Meghan recently announced that she would be selling a range of luxury home goods from her American Riviera Orchard brand.

Nacho Figueras, a polo player friend of the Sussexes, shared a photo of Meghan’s new jam online along with a photo with her dog and a packet of cookies made by the brand.

Richard explained that the awkward shadowing was a result of her “marketing campaign” in which the former actress sent products to friends and influencers to post, but “you never know when they’re going to post, so it’s completely out of your control.” control”.

Figueras is among around 50 people believed to have received a PR package from the fledgling lifestyle brand launched by the Duchess earlier this year.

“It’s very embarrassing when it’s right before Catherine’s reappearance in Trooping Colour, it can seem very pointy,” the expert said.

Rebecca English, royal editor of the Daily Mail, added that the traffic jam incident was “clumsy”, but was explained by the fact that lines of communication between the Sussexes and working royals are “non-existent”.

“People don’t tell them things because they don’t trust them,” he said.

“It just shows how wise Queen Elizabeth was to have a job half in, half out.”

This year marks the second year that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not invited to the annual celebration, which celebrates the reigning monarch’s birthday.

It comes after claims that Prince Harry, who did not meet his father during his visit to London last month, turned down an invitation from Her Majesty to stay at a royal residence during the trip because he had “security concerns” .

Meghan and Harry attended Trooping the Color together for the first time in 2018, a month after their royal wedding in Windsor. They once again appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace in 2019, weeks after welcoming their first child.
