Covered Bridge Potato Chips CEO and President Ryan Albright has been arrested following the alleged assault of his wife.

A French fry magnate has been arrested for domestic violence following the alleged assault of his wife earlier this week.

Ryan Albright was arrested in Maine on Saturday morning after the Bangor Police Department responded to calls of a “family dispute.”

His wife, the alleged victim, was reported to have suffered minor injuries.

Albright, president of Covered Bridge Potato Chips, appeared in court Monday where a $750 cash bond was ordered. He has since been released.

The company is a fourth-generation family business in New Brunswick, Canada.

The Covered Bridge Potato Chips company today issued a statement announcing the appointment of Brook Dickinson as executive vice president.

Albright was said to have “elected to take an extended leave of absence in light of recent personal health issues.”

The statement further praised Albright for his “tremendous contribution” to the “advancement of the company and wishes him and his family the best in their personal plans.”

Albright issued a statement days after the fire announcing with great regret the destruction of the factory and sending a message of gratitude to those who support the company.

“Family is at the heart of our business and that extends to our valued employees,” he said.

“We are confident that we can count on you (our consumers, customers, suppliers, friends and family) for your patience and continued support as we find our way forward.”

He further said CTV News in May that it hoped to rebuild and reopen a new factory on the same site by the end of 2025.

Albright’s next court appearance is scheduled for January 13.
