British waitress Allegra Cerea told how she contacted Giulia before she was killed

This is the British waitress at the center of a love triangle that ended with the gruesome murder of a seven-month pregnant woman.

Allegra Cerea, 24, was named in court as the lover of Alessandro Impagnatiello, 31, accused of murdering his girlfriend Giulia Tramontano, 29, just two months before she gave birth to their son.

The trial in the Italian city of Milan has shocked the country with its brutality; Giulia was stabbed a terrifying 37 times and an attempt was made to burn her body after discovering that her boyfriend was also dating Miss Cerea.

Allegra, a former Leeds University student from Norwich, graduated in June 2022 with a degree in Italian and French and moved to Italy shortly afterwards.

After working as a teacher and in a tattoo parlor as a receptionist, she eventually got a job at Milan’s luxury Armani hotel, where she told the court she had met Impagnatiello.

Allegra described how he had initially told her about Giulia, but added that they had split up and were no longer a couple, before she learned the truth and approached Giulia to warn her about the affair in May last year.

In a shocking new revelation, Allegra revealed that just a few months earlier she discovered she was pregnant and was also expecting Impagnatiello’s child.

'Love rat' Alessandro Impagnetiello, 30, finally confessed to having killed his girlfriend, Giulia.

‘Love rat’ Alessandro Impagnetiello, 30, finally confessed to having killed his girlfriend, Giulia.

Initially speaking behind a screen, Allegra described how she had terminated the pregnancy and had to pause for a few minutes before continuing her testimony.

Describing their relationship, she said: “He told me he was going on holiday alone to Ibiza but then I found pictures of him with Giulia and she was clearly pregnant, when I asked him about it he said he wasn’t the father.” .’

Allegra told how the love rat waiter spun a web of lives during their relationship, claiming he had left Giulia and falsifying a DNA test to trick her into believing he was not the father of his victim’s child.

Giulia was found dead in the boot of his car in a Milan suburb last May, three days after his murder, and after he had texted Allegra to tell her he was a “free man”.

The Milan court heard this week how Impagnetiello stabbed Giulia 37 times while she was in the bathroom before throwing her into his car and attempting to burn the body.

In her testimony, Allegra told the court that she had met with Giulia just hours before she was murdered so that she could “discuss the situation and help her.”

She said: “Not knowing how to handle the situation, I wanted to help Giulia, make her understand, give her something concrete and make her understand what was happening.”

From the beginning, he claimed, Impagnetiello had insisted that he was not the child’s father and that he had done the DNA test.

Allegra considered these to be her “deceptions.”

‘I asked him to show it to me to confirm if he was telling the truth. When I saw the proof, I believed it.

“He had said that she (Giulia) was alone and was not feeling well, that she had tried to hurt herself and that was why he was worried.”

But he later described his surprise at discovering the DNA test was fake after finding searches for how to “do one” on an iPad Impagnatiello had given him to use while on vacation.

Allegra said: ‘When I went on a trip in May, he lent me his tablet and I found the DNA test file there. I looked at her search history and found the images to create the document.

‘I also saw in the emails the Excel file to create the document. Having already lied the first time, I didn’t want him to create another story to cover up. I waited to see how to act.’

Allegra added: “He told me that Giulia was bipolar, that she was not well, that she wanted to hurt herself, she told me that she was pregnant and that he was not the father, that she took a DNA test.”

He told the court how he finally arranged a meeting with Giulia after discovering Impagnatiello was lying to him.

Allegra said: ‘When I called Giulia she thanked me, I explained who I was and that I was in the same situation as her, she thanked me and told me she wanted to see me.

‘She told me we had to meet that same day and he found out that I had spoken to her and got angry.

“I had decided to tell Giulia what I wanted her to know, that I was fed up with her lies, I decided that she needed to know, he continued to deny everything despite the evidence he had.”

‘I confronted him and told him that I knew everything and that I wanted to end the relationship, and he told me that he wanted to tell me about his situation and continued to deny it, saying that he was not the father of the child. even though he had discovered that the DNA test was fake.

‘He said he was no longer with Giulia, he said: “If you don’t think he’s not my son, call Giulia.” He threatened me like that.

‘But I had already decided to call her and I called her. When he realized that Giulia was coming to the hotel to talk, he left work early.

Security cameras played in court showed the two women heartily embracing, but hours later Giulia died after he attacked her in the bathroom of their apartment and angrily stabbed her.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline after giving her testimony, Allegra said: “I have given my testimony to the authorities, testified and given the information I needed to give.

‘It is a very delicate case and issue, I said what I had to say and I think it is necessary to give the family time to grieve.

‘I have contributed my grain of sand, I met with Giulia to try to help her. He was narcissistic, manipulative and a liar, that’s all I want to say about him. This has been something very difficult for me, it has not been easy. My life has changed a lot.’

Earlier this week, Impagnatiello confessed in court: “I killed Giulia Tramontano but I don’t know why.” The number of stab wounds will always haunt me.

‘The person I was in that period is not the person I am today. This test is helping me organize my scattered thoughts and confusing pieces.

‘Now I can reveal the real truth. He had created a web of lies in which I drowned.

He went on to explain how, after killing his girlfriend, he watched a football game on his phone before putting her body in the trunk of his car and driving to meet his mother for lunch.

He said: “I was having lunch at my mother’s house with the body in the car.”

The court also heard how he had attempted to burn her body in the bathroom before hiding the remains in a garage and then a basement; A day later she reported him missing to the police.

To cover his tracks, he burned Giulia’s personal belongings, including her ID and passport, and sent her text messages “begging” her to return.

But he eventually broke down and confessed to the murder, leading police to several crime scenes and being arrested.

The trial continues next month.
