She joked with fans about the less glamorous side of motherhood, lamenting having to “go wash my hair in baby vomit.”
But as our exclusive pictures show, Peaky Blinders actress Sophie Rundle has motherhood down to a fine art as she cradles her newborn son during a family stroll.
The 36-year-old actress, who played Ada Thorne in the BBC gangster drama, was spotted out and about in north London with her actor husband Matt Stokoe and their three-year-old son Henry.
One passerby commented: “Motherhood clearly suits her. As any mum with two young children knows, it can be exhausting, but Sophie looks effortlessly chic and radiant. The family were clearly enjoying their time off.”

Sophie, who wore denim jeans paired with a loose white shirt and sandals, carried her newborn son in an olive green baby carrier, leaving her arms free to cuddle him.
Matt, 35, best known for his role in Channel 4 series Misfits, held the couple’s eldest son’s hand protectively. The showbiz couple met in 2016 on the set of Sky’s period drama Jamestown.
The actress, who rose to fame as Agent Kirsten McAskill in hit TV series Happy Valley, gave birth to her yet-to-be-named son just seven weeks ago. She posted an adorable photo of her newborn snuggled against her chest and told her half-million Instagram followers: “He’s here. I’m fully prepared and expecting to plummet off the hormonal cliff at any moment, but for now I’m just riding this heavenly wave of perfect love.”
She also used the post to thank Stroud Maternity Hospital in Gloucester for “bringing him here so healthy and happy and for looking after us so expertly”.
A fortnight later, she posted a photo of herself pushing a stroller while sipping coffee through a straw, telling her followers: “If you came to my Instagram looking for celebrity content then LOL here are some pictures of me and my kids now I have to go wash my hair feeling nauseous.”
Sophie also starred alongside her husband in the thriller After the Flood, sporting a fake baby bump during filming. On The One Show earlier this year, she confirmed her pregnancy and revealed how the real and fake pregnancies almost overlapped.
“I’m pregnant in real life now. So this feels like the longest pregnancy any woman has ever had,” she laughed.
