Randi Mahomes, Patrick's mother, asked for prayers while watching the game with her ailing father.

Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mother, shared a touching photo from a hospital while watching her son’s Kansas City Chiefs with his sick father, Randy.

“Today I’m watching the game with dad,” Randi, 48, wrote on X. “Prayers please for my dad.”

The photo shared by Randi shows her daughter Mia sitting next to a hospital bed, where Patrick’s grandfather, Randy, is lying in front of the TV. The screen appears to show Sunday’s Chiefs-Chargers game in Los Angeles, which Kansas City won, 17-10, to improve to 4-0.

The specific health issue has not been made public, but Randi revealed that her father was unwell earlier this month.

“Prayer warriors, please pray for my dad,” she wrote on September 13. “He’s in the hospital and he’s not feeling well.”

There has been an outpouring of support online. Many first responders told Randi that they are indeed praying for her father.

Like teammate Travis Kelce’s mother Donna, Randi has also become a celebrity as her son won three Super Bowls in five seasons.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Randi revealed that Kelce gave her the affectionate nickname ‘Mama Mahomes’ and uses it every time they meet. Additionally, he spoke about the family atmosphere at Arrowhead Stadium and the sense of community between Patrick and his teammates.

‘It almost feels like a little family, you know? I love it,” Randi told the publication. “I love meeting the Chiefs players because you don’t always get to meet them all.”

Randi has admitted that she sometimes feels overwhelmed by fame.

Randi opened up about her struggles with fame during a July appearance on ‘The Mom Game’ podcast, where she admitted to envying friends not related to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Jr., not to mention her brother Jackson, a well-known social media influencer.

“I look at some of my friends on social media and I’m jealous that they have this normal (life),” she said. ‘Their children are the same age as Patrick (28) and Jackson (24), and they have this normal situation and we don’t. It’s super difficult.

“We just want to be normal and go to dinner,” he continued. “We don’t do that.”

The problem with her son’s notoriety persists even when she works as an event planner, something she has done for 20 years.

“At my job, it’s very difficult because 90 percent of my phone calls are not about work,” he said. “I still go to work and I want to live a normal life.”

Of course, living a normal life is a pipe dream when your oldest son signs a $480 million contract with the NFL.

But although Randi admits to being lucky, she can’t help but feel overwhelmed by the problems her family’s fame can bring.

“As much as I say we’re blessed and Patrick is living his dream, it’s been the hardest seven years of my adult life,” Randi explained. ‘It’s been very difficult to juggle… being proud of him and the hate you and the children feel. I can’t even explain how difficult it has been. I have cried a lot. I struggle with that.’

Much of that fight came after Jackson was charged with misdemeanor assault and three counts of aggravated sexual assault. The judge later dropped the felony charges, citing the alleged victim’s lack of cooperation.

As Randi said, Jackson “has been through some tough times,” but “the truth came out.”

In addition to being the grandmother of Patrick’s two children, Brandi is also the mother of Mia, her 12-year-old daughter.

She gave birth to Patrick Jr. when she was 20 years old and Patrick Sr. was pitching for the Minnesota Twins.

In fact, Patrick Jr.’s godfather is former Twins reliever LaTroy Hawkins.

Randi admits that Patrick Jr. is “living his dream,” but she can’t help but think that her other two children aren’t as lucky.

But if there’s a silver lining to her son’s fortune and fame, it’s that Randi no longer needs to worry about finances.

“They don’t even need me to give them money to take them to dinner,” she said of her children. “They’re taking me to dinner.”
