The 2024 Summer Olympics are here, and while the Games’ opening ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, July 26, competition officially begins on Wednesday. The U.S. Men’s Under-23 National Team takes center stage against host nation France in men’s soccer on the opening day of play in Group A. As is customary for the Summer Games, some of the soccer matches are held outside of the host city, with Wednesday’s matchup being in Marseille.
As mentioned, men’s soccer at the Olympics is contested by U-23 teams, with three exceptions for players 23 and older. For the U.S. national team, those players are Walker Zimmerman (31), Miles Robinson (27) and Djordje Mihailovic (25) of Marko Mitrović’s team. Below is the full roster for Team USA, which is returning to the Summer Olympics in men’s soccer for the first time since 2008. The U.S. national team has never won a medal, but did finish fourth at the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney.
