Pamela Anderson admits she suffered from depression for “a couple of decades” while attending the Zurich Film Festival.
The 57-year-old actress was at the festival to present her new film The Last Showgirl and also accepted the Golden Eye award at the Swiss film festival.
She revealed that she was happy to continue working and receive this award, before admitting her first bouts of depression.
“Now I look at it and I feel like I went from ‘Baywatch’ to Broadway. I don’t know what happened in between, it’s all a big blur,” he began.
“I’m happy to be here, right now, because I think I’ve had depression for a couple of decades,” he said.

“I never thought I would be on stage receiving an award like that. I just want to keep working. “I’m excited to do more,” she admitted.
Her resurgence began with the 2023 documentary Pamela, A Love Story along with her memoir Love Pamela.
‘Ryan (White) made that documentary and that’s how Gia saw me. “I always knew I was capable of more,” he said.
‘It’s great to be a part of pop culture, but it’s a blessing and a curse. People fall in love with you because of your swimsuit. It’s taken a long time, but I’m here,’ he said.
He added that he grew up as “naughty girl’ and began to dream big thanks to her Finnish grandfather.
“He really encouraged my imagination. “It made me realize that you’re not just an extension of your parents or the small town you grew up in,” she said.
He also spoke of his humble upbringing in British Columbia, saying, “When you grow up on an island, people don’t leave.” And when you’re gone, people talk. I gave them a lot of material to make fun of me. No charge.’
‘My first scene was with David Hasselhoff. I was playing the saxophone and he was looking at my forehead. “I had no idea what to do,” he said.

‘I tried to go back to things that happened in my childhood. I could “smell” my house, the cigarettes, and the alcohol, and it was important to pay attention to all of that. I was trying to take my power back. ‘I bought my grandmother’s house and I repainted it and rewrote my life,’ he said.
She read the script for The Last Showgirl and said that project was “do or die” for her.
“I was in my overalls and my straw hat, thinking, ‘Get me out of here, let’s do this!'” She added that she was, however, “terrified to meet her co-star Jamie Lee Curtis.”
‘She showed up at the table reading with her spray tan and as she talked to me, she was getting darker and darker and darker. Now I feel like I’ve known her all my life. He grabs you by the shoulders, looks you in the eyes and says, ‘We got this, girl!'” he said.
