Skip Bayless has paid tribute to OJ Simpson following the former football star’s death, stating that he “might be the greatest running back of all time” and remembering him as “the most charismatic athlete I have ever met”.
Simpson, who died Wednesday at age 76 after a brief battle with cancer, was an astonishing talent in the NFL, earning six All-Pro selections en route to a Hall of Fame induction.

Simpson became one of America’s most infamous figures during his criminal trial.
In 1994, 15 years after his last NFL appearance, Simpson was accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman.
He was later acquitted of the murders in perhaps the best-known criminal trial in American history.
The test came after a legendary NFL career, spent primarily with the Buffalo Bills, in which he led the league in rushing yards four times and racked up 61 rushing touchdowns.
His 11,236 rushing yards are 21st in NFL history.

Simpson, who was reportedly receiving chemotherapy for prostate cancer, died surrounded by his family at his Las Vegas home Wednesday night.
