The offer at Dairy Queen, which runs Wednesday through Sunday, is a free Double Original Cheeseburger for anyone who spends more than $1.
The burger contains two beef patties, strong American cheese, pickles, ketchup and mustard.
Sonic fans can get the Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger for $1.99, or a Sonic Smasher for $7.
The Sonic Smasher features two Angus beef patties with two slices of melted American cheese, Smasher sauce, pickles and diced onions.
But Sonic doesn’t need a special occasion to offer discounted cheeseburgers. The chain also offers half-price cheeseburgers every Tuesday after 5 p.m.

Smashburger is offering individual classic burgers for $5 in-store, online or in the app on National Cheeseburger Day.
The chain is also giving away a 50 percent off coupon for any burger or sandwich with any purchase on Wednesday.
This will apply to future visits from September 19 to October 17.
Denny’s rewards program members can also get 20 percent off any burger on Wednesday.
