The mysterious ‘blue lady’ haunting an island in South Carolina has been revealed.
When one of America’s deadliest hurricanes made landfall in Savannah and Hilton Head on August 27, 1893, Adam Fripp was a lighthouse keeper and worked diligently to keep ships safe.
‘During the hurricane, while trying to control the lighthouse, keep it working, I fell down the stairs. Unfortunately he passed away,” said Charles Pejeau, food and beverage director and executive chef at Palmetto Dunes Resort. he told WJCL.
Legend has it that Fripp’s daughter Caroline put her father to bed and he had one last request.
“Rumor has it that with his dying breath, he told her to make sure she stays at the lighthouse and keeps it running,” and she did just that.
