A worker who helped deliver a baby in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven gas station has been reunited with the child and his family.
Sharyn Daley was working at the Cheap as Chips discount store in Logan, Brisbane, on Friday when a man ran in shouting “that a lady is about to have a baby”.
The assistant store manager grabbed a towel from a shelf and ran out to help the woman who was in her car parked at the neighboring 7-Eleven servo.
The baby’s head was already crowning and the birth was over seconds after Ms Daley arrived on the scene.
Fortunately, the baby, named Winston, is now healthy and doing well after arriving 11 days early.
On Tuesday, Daley met with mother Sonia and the rest of the family.

It is understood that moments after Ms Daley arrived at the scene, Winston’s head was crowned and there was no time to reach hospital.

Ms Daley (pictured) sprang into action on Friday and grabbed a towel from the rack as she headed to help.
“A few minutes went by and he started moving better and he was squeezing my finger hard and his color came back.”
After returning the baby to his mother, Daley took off his right shoe and tied the shoelace around the umbilical cord.
She then took off the sock and placed the placenta inside, keeping it close to the baby.
An ambulance arrived and took the family to the hospital before Daley had a chance to ask their names.
