Molly Sims shared heartbreaking news on Instagram Sunday night.
His father, Jim Sims, also known as Big Daddy, passed away suddenly but peacefully.
The 51-year-old shared a lengthy post and 10 photos as a tribute to her father and explained why she has been absent from social media.
‘Big Daddy passed away suddenly but on his own terms, just as he lived his life. I’m heartbroken,” wrote Molly, who reflected on how different her summers are now compared to when she was young.
‘Over the last week, I know I have been lazy and downright absent in my daily posts. The truth is that I have been dealing with what every child fears: the loss of a parent. Even more so, the loss of our last living father,” his post began.

Molly went on to say that she is in a new place where she can’t pick up the phone to receive wisdom from her parents.
She continued, “That in-between place of no longer having a dad to call when we just need our dads and realizing that now we’re really going to rely on the people they raised and the values they instilled in us to guide us.”
The photo carousel contained recent photos of his father enjoying time on a boat, spending time with his children Brooks, 11, Scarlett, nine, and Grey, seven, and included photos of his parents with their children along of the years.
