“A lot of people tell me I should be happy, but I don’t wish this year on anyone,” Gaither said. ‘I studied for 12 years to be a teacher and now that no longer exists.
‘Looking back, I wouldn’t recommend this. “If I could go back, I would tell myself not to do it.”
Last September, Gaither was the second St. Clair High School teacher to be suspended for having an Onlyfans account, where she posted direct-to-consumer pornographic content in the same month.
She was an English teacher and varsity cheerleading coach, but was suspended after a student put a note under her classroom door saying they “knew her secret.”
The married teacher had worked at the high school for four years and said she started her smut page to supplement her income, as did her colleague Brianna Coppage, who noted that she was a teacher on her own.
Gaither, who received a salary of $47,500 last year, said she “hid very well behind an alias and no headshots” but was discovered against her will. On Onlyfans, she earned up to $5,000 a month.

Gaither appeared in a video on the Coppage account – with his face hidden – after a party in town – in which he was wearing a costume.
But people started putting two and two together when a photo of Gaither wearing the same costume at the party was publicly posted online.

Gaiter was suspended from the top the same month as her colleague Brianna Coppage, 28, who also started her Onlyfans page as a way to supplement her $42,000-a-year income.
She said: “I was about four minutes into all of this, and I definitely didn’t think this was going to be the thing that ruined my entire career.”
Things got worse when a student slipped a note under his classroom door suggesting they “knew his secret,” Gaither said.
Gaither has since reactivated her account and is still creating content, which she says has its ups and downs. While she doesn’t belittle the school district or her coworkers, she is still upset that someone ratted her out.
“My husband and I talked about this before I started OnlyFans, that there would be consequences if I got caught,” Gaither said. ‘I know I made decisions. But whoever turned me in, I have to ask: Was it necessary? And what did I do to them to deserve this kind of treatment?’
On the one hand, he earns $22,000 a month from his 1,500 subscribers. Since October, she has earned $2 million and was able to purchase 20 acres of land near St. Clair, where they want to grow a garden and keep chickens.
He also said he paid off his student loans and credit card debt.
“Our lives were forever changed thanks to Onlyfans,” Coppage said.
But with that, she has come to accept that her career as a teacher is over, a career that feels “like it was a lifetime ago.”
She has also been excluded from her community and even from members of her own family for her controversial career path. The former teacher said she is in therapy to deal with the onslaught of negativity, criticizing her role as a teacher and mother of two young children.
“It’s amazing how quickly people seem to forget that I’m a human being,” he said. “I would never, ever criticize someone for their appearance or the shape of their body, but these people do.”

His direct messages are not all negative. In fact, many of them are questions from aspiring Onlyfans content creators who are struggling financially.
“My advice is to really think about the consequences of this decision and consider it as your reality because it will happen to you like it happened to me,” Gaither said. ‘Are you okay with never working professionally again?’
Gaither is using his newfound wealth to earn a doctorate so he can teach at the university level. While he understands that his options may be limited, he still will not give up his passion for teaching.
