Miriam Margolyes made a hilarious return to BBC screens by leaving viewers in hysterics as she inspected sex toys in her latest show Miriam Margolyes: A New Australian Adventure.
The first episode of the adventure series aired on Friday, and the 83-year-old British actress kicked off the show with a bang as she headed to Perth in search of meeting a host of local characters.
However, Miriam had no idea what she was in for as she was shown a double-ended sex toy and claimed that “being a sex worker would be absolutely exhausting.”
Fans were then left in stitches as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment on Miriam’s antics.

According BBCMiriam is recovering from a recent heart procedure that left her feeling more vulnerable.
In an attempt to adapt to the “new Miriam”, she returns to Australia, a place she considers her second home, to find fun, inspiration and a better future.
Her first stop in Perth, the capital of Western Australia, took her out of her comfort zone and allowed her to learn from people who forged their own path to success.
The hilarious episode comes after Miriam recently revealed she now struggles to walk and admitted she regrets not making serious changes to her life after undergoing surgery last year.
The actress underwent transcatheter aortic valve replacement surgery to avoid more invasive open-heart surgery, but revealed she still has health problems.
The Harry Potter actress also revealed that she is now registered as disabled and may be confined to a wheelchair due to a back problem.
Miriam explained that spinal stenosis, which occurs when the space around the spinal cord becomes too narrow compressing the nerves, could make it difficult for her to walk, restricting her to a wheelchair.

Meanwhile, other fans took to X to express their joy, claiming Miriam is a “national treasure.”
In an interview with NearThe star said: “I can’t walk very well and I’m registered disabled so I use all sorts of aids. I’ve got two canes and a walker and they’re really boring, but I’ve got a mobility scooter which is really fun.”
But Miriam also revealed that she regrets not having made important changes in her lifestyle to improve her health.
She said she wished she could have gotten over her weight and described not doing so as a defeat.
During an appearance on the How to fail In September, the actress and presenter confessed that she has not conquered her weight.
She said: “I’m a blob of fat. I’m fat. And being fat and 82 years old is really pathetic.”
She also revealed that she fears that as she ages, she will not be able to afford caregivers to look after her as her health deteriorates.
She told RadioTimes: “I’m worried I won’t have enough money for carers when I eventually become paralysed, or whatever’s going to happen to me.”
She added that she is now focusing on saving to support herself and her partner and is embarking on another series of her hit show.
Miriam, who has been with her partner Heather since 1968, lives in Clapham, south-west London.
