New Zealand Married At First Sight star Andrew Jury has died aged 33.

The builder was one of the original boyfriends from the first season, which aired in 2017 when he was 26 years old.

His co-stars Brett, Angel Renall and Benjamin Blackwell announced his shocking death in a joint Instagram post.

“It is with great sadness that we have gathered to acknowledge the passing of Andrew Jury,” their statement said.

‘We had the absolute pleasure of filming and participating in a program that leaves us closely linked for life.

‘Despite his struggles, Andrew was always kind and the life of the party during our shared experience and truly valued his time on the show.

“At this time, our entire cast would like to send our deepest condolences and love to his family: Ben, Angel, Brett, Vicky, Haydn, Lacey, Claire, Dom, Aaron, Luke, Belinda.”

Andrew was paired with girlfriend Vicky Gleeson-Stokes, and although the couple stayed together through the finale, they split after filming wrapped.

Warner Bros Discovery, which broadcasts MAFS in New Zealand, expressed its “deepest condolences” to Andrew’s loved ones on Sunday, the New Zealand Herald.

“WBD takes the duty of care very seriously and has protocols in place regarding the well-being of cast and crew,” a company spokesperson said.

‘All MAFS NZ cast members have access to mental health professionals throughout the process, including pre-screening, during production and post-broadcast.’
