Several X-rated users have criticized male shoppers for their work ethic and occasionally accused them of making mistakes on orders.
This attack came shortly after Reddit users started a conversation about the matter in a mail.
One Reddit user wrote: “Low tip, low effort. High tip, high effort.”
Instacart currently has more than 600,000 shoppers and remains popular despite skyrocketing grocery prices.
Reddit and X users have been criticizing male Instacart shoppers, accusing them of being lazy or making mistakes on orders.
One of the biggest complaints X users had about male Instacart shoppers was the products they selected as replacement items.

“I think because the vast majority of shoppers are men, and most of them are new Canadians and Americans, it causes issues, especially when you message them and they don’t understand what you’re asking or saying,” said Instacart shopper Mike Romagnoli. The HuffPost.

Based on five years of experience, the Toronto-based shopper has one piece of advice for male shoppers: “Always send an opening greeting when you’re about to start shopping.”

“Customers have that choice and there’s nothing we can do about it, even if we do a great job,” Romagnoli said of tipping.
“Unfortunately, we rely on tips and are underpaid to begin with.”
Several X users admitted they don’t tip their Instacart shoppers, and a handful revealed they would give a man more money if he got an order right.
