Lisa Wilkinson made a style statement as she stepped out for lunch in Sydney on Friday.

The TV star looked chic in white trousers and a mini trench coat as she visited Sydney’s Bondi Icebergs restaurant.

The 64-year-old completed her chic look with a $7,000 beige Chanel woven bag and a pair of strappy heels.

Lisa curled her short brown locks and wore dark sunglasses as she arrived at the popular spot.

She completed her look with a stack of gold chain link bracelets, a watch and a pair of gold hoop earrings.

For makeup, the former The Project star chose a muted palette with a soft nude lip gloss and blush.

The sighting comes amid reports that Lisa wants to return to television screens after months of inaction and five tedious weeks spent in court, sources say.

The Channel 10 star and former darling of morning TV is looking forward to giving more “hit interviews” again in the New Year, friends told the Weekend Australian last month.

Wilkinson left The Project last November and, despite remaining on Ten’s payroll until the end of 2024, has not appeared on the channel for over a year.

Despite her lengthy hiatus from the network, Wilkinson has remained in the public eye through her role in a highly publicized defamation trial.

She was involved in a case with Bruce Lehrmann, who was suing Network 10 and Wilkinson over an interview with Brittany Higgins that aired on The Project and online.

Wilkinson’s friends say his court appearances have worked in his favour by providing the TV star with “a steady stream of publicity”.

“Yes, it’s been off air for a while but I don’t think anyone has forgotten it,” former Seven and Nine executive Peter Meakin told the Weekend Australian.

“I’m sure his loyal fans will remain loyal to him.”

Network Ten says it is in talks to develop “further projects” with Wilkinson.
