Actress Daisy Jones And The Six said her mother Lisa Marie Presley knew something was wrong the morning her famous father, singer Elvis Presley, died.
Presley died unexpectedly in August 1977 at his Graceland estate at the age of 42.
Lisa, who was only nine years old at the time, woke up and felt something wasn’t right, Riley told Oprah.
Keough also shared that his mother often worried about his father when she saw him disheveled in the bathroom or clinging to a railing.
When Oprah added that there was a lot of ‘chaos’ at home with Elvis, she said yes.
And Riley also provided a letter written by her mother Lisa when she was a child saying she hoped her father didn’t die.
Riley is promoting her late mother’s memoir From Here To The Great Unknown, which she helped finish; comes out next week.

Riley also said that the night before Elvis died, he had a “feeling” that he wouldn’t be with us much longer.

Lisa Marie died at the age of 54 due to a small bowel obstruction that developed after she underwent bariatric surgery several years earlier.
This comes after Keough shared a sweet Instagram post about her mom.
“I feel so proud and in awe of my mother, she somehow lived in honesty and truth all the time, no matter how uncomfortable it was for her or the people around her,” the star wrote in her caption.
‘She was a really ambitious quality and just being around her was liberating.
‘That’s also how he approached his autobiography. I know his intention was to tell a human story and connect with people by telling it. “I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to finish it for her.”
He ended his note with: ‘FROM HERE TO THE GREAT UNKNOWN officially comes out in five days, on 8/10 ‘

Lisa Marie Presley has been spotted in a rare bikini photo while on the beach. The image of the late singer was posted to Instagram by Keough on Thursday.

Lisa Marie is the daughter of rock icon Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley.
She was also married to the king of pop Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage.
Keough, whose father is Lisa Marie’s ex-husband Danny Keough, was promoting Lisa Marie’s memoir, From Here To The Great Unknown.
It will be published by Pan MacMillan on October 8, 2024.
Presley asked Keough to help her write the memoir in 2022, shortly before her death. It will feature unpublished interviews from the late star.
Riley will also narrate part of the audiobook along with movie star Julia Roberts.
The audiobook will also include never-before-heard selections from Lisa Marie’s recordings.
The book is about growing up as the daughter of the king of rock Elvis and actress Priscilla Presley.

“Because my mother was Elvis Presley’s daughter, they were constantly talking about her and arguing and analyzing her,” Riley told People.
“What she wanted to do in her memoir, and what I hope to have done in finishing it for her, is to go beyond the magazine headline’s idea of her and reveal the essence of who she was.
‘Turn her into a three-dimensional human being: the best mother, a wild child, a fierce friend, an underrated artist, outspoken, funny, traumatized, joyful, heartbroken, everything she was throughout her extraordinary life.
“I want to give my mother a voice in a way that eluded her while she was alive.”
