Liberals launch shocking accusations against New York Times over poll showing Trump beating Harris

Liberals are in a complete meltdown after the first major poll since last month’s Democratic National Convention put Donald Trump ahead of Kamala Harris.

The slim 1-point lead falls within the margin of error for the New York Times/Siena College polls, but the former president’s slim advantage just two months before Election Day has Democrats outraged.

Some pollsters said this suggests Harris’s “honeymoon” phase is ending after just over a month in the race. But some claim it could be a “flash in the pan,” while other Party members are dismissing one of the most respected and reputable polling authorities.

A self-proclaimed “recovering political pollster” and “election nerd” wrote on X:

We’ll wait for more data to see if this is a blip or the start of a reversal, but NYT/Siena is an excellent pollster.

Another user called the NYT/Siena poll “a broken, garbage poll.”

Of the 1,695 registered voters surveyed Sept. 3-6, 48 percent say they would vote for Trump, compared with 47 percent for Vice President Harris.

An earlier NYT/Siena poll found Harris with a 3 percent lead.

The campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz is releasing a debate-day ad featuring former members of Donald Trump’s Cabinet turning on the former president.

The announcement references comments made by Trump’s Vice President Mike Pence, Defense Secretary Mark Esper, national security adviser John Bolton and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley.

They have all spoken out against their former boss.

The TV ad comes as Harris and Trump prepare for their first debate showdown in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday.

Nate Silver’s prediction puts the Republican candidate’s chances of winning the electoral college vote at 63.8 percent, compared to Harris’s 36 percent.

He predicts 312 electoral college votes for Trump versus 226 for Harris in a map where there is no tie.

The figure represents a huge increase from the 227 Trump won against Biden in 2020 and an even improvement from his victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016, when he won the White House with 304 electoral college votes.
