An ambulance believed to be carrying wounded people, after multiple explosions were heard during the funeral of four Hezbollah fighters after their portable pagers exploded, in the southern suburb of Beirut, Lebanon, Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Walkie talkies used by Hezbollah fighters have detonated across Lebanon, wounding at least 10 Hezbollah fighters, witnesses and security sources said.

This comes a day after thousands of explosive beepers used by the group left nearly 3,000 people injured and a dozen dead, including civilians and children.

Hezbollah purchased the portable radios five months ago, around the same time as the compromised pagers, a security source has now revealed.

The latest explosions this afternoon hit the south of the country and the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut, a security source and a witness said.

At least one of the explosions heard took place near a funeral organized by Hezbollah for those killed the previous day.

This is breaking news, there will be more news soon.
